On the outskirts of Tamarindo, on a private reserve, the zip line runs through tropical dry forest of the Tempisque Conservation Area in Guanacaste. The cables take off from the mountainside into the treetops: 10 lines zigzag from tree to tree, with 11 platforms from ground level to tree level. Under the canopy you can see the animals that live here: howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, lizards, armadillos, wild boars and, with luck, small deer, among many native trees and plants. Your guides also tell you about the trees, the animals and Costa Rican culture.
